Maumee police are looking for tips on a break-in and theft last week at the In & Out Mart, 933 Michigan Ave.

A man entered the store about 2:15 a.m. April 20 by smashing a front window with a tire iron and crawling inside. He jumped over the counter and took a cash box with money and at least two cartons of cigarettes. He ran around the counter and grabbed a metal cigarette case off a shelf before climbing back out the window, police said.

The suspect was described as white; possibly 25 to 35 years old; 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 11 inches tall; 220 to 240 pounds; with dark hair.

He was wearing a black "Tough Man" contest sleeveless shirt, blue jeans, a Pittsburgh Steelers hat, a light-colored pair of shoes, and white surgical gloves.

Police said he was driving a light-colored, four-door vehicle.
