Damage set at $75,000 in Perrysburg home fire

A fire of undetermined origin yesterday at a home at 12311 Eckel Junction Rd. in Perrysburg heavily damaged the garage and filled the house with smoke, firefighters said.

The residents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sadowski, escaped unharmed.

Fire Chief Ronald Thompson said the blaze, reported at 4:30 p.m., caused $75,000 damage, destroying a car, lawn mower, and other items in the garage.

Perrysburg Township firefighters assisted in extinguishing the blaze.

Firefighters were at the scene for about four hours.
