6/25/2005

Toledo fire investigators are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about a series of arson fires in the city.

A blaze was set on St. James Court about 2:30 a.m. June 15. Ten apartments were involved in the incident.

Three days later, a family of four was asleep about 3:30 a.m. when their home in the 1300 block of Potomac Drive was set on fire.

Another blaze was set in the 1400 block of Oakwood Avenue about 7:30 a.m. June 20, authorities said.

Anyone with information about the fires is asked to call the Crime Stopper program.

Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.

An additional reward of up to $5,000 is being offered by the Blue Ribbon Arson Committee for information leading to the identification of the person or people responsible for the blazes.
