An apartment fire in Rossford early yesterday caused $15,000 damage and the evacuation of residents from 12 apartments.

Rossford firefighters said the blaze at 1236 Dixie Hwy. apparently centered around a couch that caught fire inside one of the apartments.

No injuries were reported, and the cause remained under investigation.

It was not immediately known how many were displaced, officials said.

Northwood firefighters assisted Rossford in extinguishing the blaze.
