Toledo police are seeking the people who threw a heavy chunk of concrete over the Summit Street overpass yesterday, shattering the windshield of a pickup truck.

The driver, William Carroll, 25, of Oregon, was treated at St. Charles Mercy Hospital for glass in his eyes and arms.

Mr. Carroll was driving northbound on I-280 about 11:55 a.m. when he thought he saw two youths toss an object over the overpass, Sgt. Richard Murphy said.

Mr. Carroll was able to stop his vehicle without hitting anything, the sergeant said.

The youths could be charged with criminal damage, he added.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Crime Stopper program at 419-255-1111.
