OTTAWA, Ohio The Putnam County Sheriff s Office plans to step up traffic enforcement over the Labor Day weekend to remove impaired drivers from the road, Sheriff James Beutler said.

The department will use sobriety checkpoints, roving patrols, undercover enforcement, and tips from motorists to catch those driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the sheriff said. Chances are, if you drive impaired this holiday, you will be arrested.
