Toledoan pleads guilty in slaying outside school

An Imperial Drive man pleaded guilty yesterday to involuntary manslaughter and aggravated robbery charges with gun specifications in the 2004 murder of a 47-year-old man outside Jackman School.

Bradley Zasada and Jason Simons were accused of the shooting death of Randy Johnson, 47. His body was found in the school parking lot at 2010 Northover Rd. on June 7, 2004.

Zasada, 21, entered the plea in Lucas County Common Pleas Court. Judge Charles Doneghy is to sentence him Oct. 17.

Mr. Simons is to go on trial Oct. 3 on the aggravated murder and aggravated robbery charges with firearm specifications, Judge Doneghy said.
