DEFIANCE - A 48-year-old Henry County man with 10 drunken-driving convictions has been indicted on two more counts of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Steven Lynn Dachenhaus of Q147 County Road 17, near Napoleon, was indicted by a Defiance County grand jury for an arrest May 7 in Defiance. If found guilty, he could be sentenced on only one of the charges.

He had not yet been served with the indictment yesterday, the Defiance County Prosecutor's Office said.

Dachenhaus' license has been suspended 13 times, the Ohio Highway Patrol said. The latest was a two-year suspension upon his arrest May 7 when he refused to take an alcohol breath test.

His record includes 17 traffic convictions, including five for driving under suspension. He has been convicted of driving while intoxicated in Napoleon, Defiance, and Van Wert courts.

Dachenhaus has been in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio 14 times in 15 years, almost always on charges of driving while under the influence.
