Sylvania man indicted in stabbing death of wife

A 54-year-old man accused in the stabbing death of his wife last week in their Sylvania home was indicted yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury.

Danny Anaya was indicted on one count of aggravated murder in the death of his wife, Rhonda, 42, whose body was found Oct. 25 in their home at 8034 Littlefield Ct.

Police officers responding to a phone call from one of the couple s children about a disturbance in the home found the victim on the kitchen floor shortly after 3 a.m. The county coroner said she died from multiple stab wounds to the neck and chest.

The charge in the indictment allows for Mr. Anaya to be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole if he is convicted.

He is being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $5 million bond.
