A man on parole for escape was one of two suspects arrested yesterday shortly after they robbed a West Toledo store at gunpoint, police said.

The parolee, Herbert Flowers, 21, of 1768 Hamilton St., and Devon Hands, 20, of 2853 Chestnut St., were booked into the Lucas County jail on aggravated robbery charges. They were scheduled to be arraigned today in Toledo Municipal Court.

They are accused of robbing Wireless Toys in the 3900 block of Secor Road of cash and phones about 12:30 p.m. They entered the store, cocked the gun, and ordered everyone to the floor, police said.

One suspect grabbed the cash; the other took phones from a back room. They fled in a car that police stopped about 30 minutes later at Hawley and Dorr streets. Money, the phones, and the gun were found inside.
