Man fails in bid to obtain narcotics with fake bomb

ARLINGTON, Ohio Hancock County authorities are looking for a man who made a false bomb threat at an Arlington pharmacy Tuesday in an unsuccessful attempt to obtain drugs from a clerk.

Sheriff s deputies were called to the Arlington Pharmacy at4:12 p.m.

The clerk told deputies that a man entered the store and handed him a note which stated that the man would set off a bomb unless the clerk turned over controlled narcotics. The man then placed a small cardboard box on the counter.

The clerk refused to give the drugs to the man, who left the box on the counter and walked out of the store. The box was later found not to contain a bomb.

The suspect was described as white, in his early to mid 20s, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and white tennis shoes.
