BOWLING GREEN A building housing the administrative offices of a Portage Township electronics business south of here was destroyed by a fire yesterday, authorities said.

Hindley Electronics, 10703 Kramer Rd., caught fire about 2 p.m., causing $200,000 damage including the building and the electronics equipment inside, said Lt. Sue Gavron of the Central Joint Fire District.

Firefighters battled the blaze for about an hour before it was under control. The fire caused the roof and attic to cave in, and only a few walls were left standing, Lieutenant Gavron said.

The building was unoccupied when the fire started, and officials are investigating the cause.

A firefighter suffered minor heat exhaustion while battling the blaze, Lieutenant Gavron said.
