North Toledo resident suffers gunshot wounds

11/13/2005

A North Toledo man shot at least twice yesterday ran home before he was taken to the hospital, police said.

Aldolpho Carpena, 24, was shot in the right arm and the left leg, and possibly in the buttocks, with a shotgun about 3:30 p.m. at 519 Cincinnati St., police said. Mr. Carpena, who had driven to the house on Cincinnati, then ran at least part of the way home to 1947 North Superior St. From there, he was taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. A hospital spokesman said she had no information on a patient by that name.

Mr. Carpena originally gave police the name Aldolpho Garcia. Police had a possible suspect last night, but nobody in custody.
