11/13/2005

Fires of suspicious origin occurred yesterday within 80 minutes of each other at two vacant structures in East Toledo, but fire officials did not know if they were related.

A vacant home at 1214 Yondota St. sustained significant damaged about 2:30 a.m. and likely will be torn down, Battalion Fire Chief Mark Klein said. Previous fires had gutted the home, and yesterday s blaze caused $2,000 damage, Chief Klein said.

The other fire, about 3:50 a.m. in a vacant two-story building at 1214 Front St., caused $10,000 damage to the structure, Chief Klein said.
