Fire hits South Toledo home, adjoining house

12/2/2005

A fire of undetermined origin caused about $25,000 damage yesterday to a house in South Toledo and a neighboring residence, which sustained heat damage.

Firefighters were called to 223 Hanover St. about 5 a.m. and found part of the floor destroyed by the blaze, fire Lt. Richard Bosak said.

He said the fire was burning for several hours before firefighters arrived. The owner, Azsha Day, was not home at the time.
