A 32-year-old man was taken to Toledo Hospital after witnesses said they found him with a gunshot wound outside of a private bar early yesterday.

Police said Farrell T. White had suffered a gunshot wound to the head when they saw him at Toledo Hospital.

A hospital spokesman said yesterday she had no information on Mr. White.

Officers who said they were at the hospital on another matter about 4:02 a.m. were alerted to Mr. White in the rear seat of a vehicle with a gunshot wound. He was admitted shortly thereafter to the hospital, officers said.

Witnesses said they were driving on West Central Avenue near the Isabella Street intersection when they saw a disturbance in front of a bar in the area and heard gunshots.

Witnesses said they circled back to the area and found Mr. White on the sidewalk. The witnesses said they picked him up and drove him to the hospital.

Police said they are continuing their investigation.
