A fire that was set intentionally Friday night at a central Toledo house caused $45,000 damage, fire Investigator Andre Tiggs said yesterday.

The blaze at 837 Ambia St., ruled an arson, began near a first-floor closet, but evidence of accelerants was found in the house, he said.

Firefighters saw black smoke coming from the two-story house when they arrived about 10:45 p.m. No injuries were reported, officials said.
