Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about a robbery and assault March 30 in East Toledo.

Three men came to Toledo to possibly buy an antique auto about 6 p.m. and met at a motel on Miami Street near I-75.

The three were told to follow two men to an alley behind the 1200 block of Oak Street, police said.

When they came to a stop, the two men tried to rob the trio at knife-point.

Two of the three victims had handguns and tried to get their weapons out but weren't able to prevent the assault.

The guns were taken from the victims, who were beaten. The suspects then ran toward Felt Street.

A wallet, a phone, and a 38-caliber Air Lite Plus revolver were taken, police said.

The suspects are described as white and in their 20s.

One is 6 foot tall and slim, with spiked hair, and was wearing a red shirt.

His accomplice was 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds, with blond hair.

The suspects may have left the area in a gray or tan pickup that had Ohio license plates. The vehicle may have had printing on the side, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stopper.
