Identification made on body found in Maumee River

Authorities have identified a body found floating this morning in the Maumee River near the Martin Luther King, Jr. Bridge. The body is that of Timothy Lutz, Jr., 37, of 624 Nevada St., whose family reported him missing April 5, said Steve Kahle, a Lucas County coroner s investigator.

Mr. Kahle said there were no obvious signs of foul play. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. Mr. Lutz was identified through fingerprints. His body was found by a boat captain for National Engineering, which is doing construction on the bridge, Mr. Kahle said.

Authorities have not yet positively identified the body of a man that was found floating in immediate area yesterday morning.
