Washington Township police seek help finding woman

Washington Township police are looking for tips on the whereabouts of a missing township woman who failed to report to work March 30 at the Toledo Yacht Club.

Susan Smith, 41, was last seen at the VFW post, 5416 Summit St., in Point Place between 3 and 4 p.m. March 30. She was supposed to report to work at 5 p.m. that day but failed to show up, police said.

Witnesses said she was in her work uniform with her name identification attached to her shirt. She was wearing a white shirt and black pants. When she left her home, she left her purse, cell phone, makeup, and personal possessions, police said.

The vehicle she was driving was found Monday at 1561 Brooke Park Dr. There were no fingerprints or other evidence to help determine what happened to her. Police said Ms. Smith has a history of drug abuse and may be suffering from depression.

Ms. Smith was described as white, with a light complexion, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing 125 pounds, with green eyes and strawberry blonde hair.
