HILLSDALE Overtime expenses associated with enforcing the zero-tolerance law for underage drinking in Hillsdale County will be 100 percent reimbursed for awhile, because of a $5,000 grant from the Michigan State Police.

The Hillsdale County Sheriff s Office recently was awarded a youth alcohol enforcement grant to reduce an alarming number of youth-related alcohol violations among the school-age population, sheriff s deputies said.

The $5,000 of overtime expenses will allow for the proper enforcement of the zero-tolerance law in Hillsdale County, deputies said.
