  • Surveillance photos show two men with handguns robbing the Charter One Bank branch at 1460 South Byrne Rd. yesterday. The men, who were wearing hoods and bandanas to cover their faces, entered the bank about 9:30 a.m., authorities

    said. One went to the area where the manager was seated and fired a shot, which police said went through a window. The other jumped over the counter and took an undisclosed amount of money from teller drawers.



    The robbers fled out a door to the parking lot, where a dye pack in the money exploded. They fled in a red/maroon, fourdoor sedan on Brenda Drive, authorities said. No one was hurt. Both suspects were described as black and in their 20s. The robber who fired the shot was 5 feet, 3 inches to 5 feet, 7 inches tall and had a thin build. His accomplice was 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a medium build.
