Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about two men who robbed a South Toledo bank branch, one of them firing a shot through a window.

The men entered the Charter One Bank, 1460 South Byrne Rd., about 9:30 a.m. Monday, wearing hoods and bandanas to cover their faces. One went to the area where the manager was seated and fired a shot, while his accomplice jumped over the counter and took money from teller drawers, authorities said.

The men fled out a door to the parking lot, where a dye pack in the money exploded. They drove off in a red/maroon, four-door sedan on Brenda Drive.

Both robbers were described as black and in their 20s.

The robber who fired the shot was 5 feet, 3 inches to 5 feet, 7 inches tall and of thin build. His accomplice was 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches tall and of medium build. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stopper program.
