South Toledoan says burglar tied her, took bank card

A 60-year-old South Toledo woman told police a burglar draped a blanket over her head, tied her hands, and put her in a bathtub yesterday before taking her bank card and her car.

Karen Meyers of Butterfield Drive told police she was sleeping in her bedroom about 6 a.m. when she was awakened by a man. He got her personal identification number from her after taking her bank card from her purse, she said.

Ms. Meyers said the man drove her car to her bank and returned it to her driveway. She untied herself after he returned her car and left. She was not hurt, police said.
