A Toledo woman was arraigned yesterday in Toledo Municipal Court after being accused of taking a sawed-off shotgun into a West Toledo drugstore to rob it of OxyContin.

Danielle Roach, 19, who had addresses on Rowland Road and Lewis Avenue, was charged with aggravated robbery. She was being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of $75,000 bond.

She is accused of entering the Rite Aid, 1012 West Sylvania Ave., on Sunday morning and asking if a prescription was ready. The pharmacist checked and said it had been picked up at a different Rite Aid store.

Police said Ms. Roach went to the end of the counter, told the pharmacist she had a shotgun, and demanded OxyContin. The pharmacist asked to see the gun. Ms. Roach pulled out a sawed-off shotgun, which was wrapped in camouflage material. The pharmacist took the gun away from Ms. Roach and called police.

Ms. Roach told police two men put her up to the robbery and they had been waiting for her in the parking lot, but fled in an unknown direction, police said.
