FREMONT Lamar Lee, 43, of Fremont, who was shot in the face by his brother on Sunday after an argument erupted while they were moving furniture, died yesterday in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.

Mr. Lee and his brother, Ular Davis, 52, were loading furniture into the back of a pickup truck at a house in the 1200 block of Liberty Street when Mr. Lee dropped his end of a headboard, starting an argument between the two, Fremont police said.

Mr. Davis reportedly went into the home, got a shotgun, and shot at Mr. Lee, who was in the back of the truck.

Mr. Davis told police he retrieved the shotgun to put it in the truck and that he tripped and the gun accidentally went off.

Mr. Davis has been charged with attempted murder. The charges are expected to be upgraded.

Mr. Davis is being held in the Sandusky County jail in lieu of a $250,000 bond pending a preliminary hearing Tuesday in Fremont Municipal Court.
