A New York man told Toledo police he was robbed Sunday of $400 and credit cards while walking from Raceway Park to the motel on East Alexis Road where he was staying.

Donald William Brenner, 58, of Freeport, N.Y., told police he was walking from the race track about 10:55 p.m. to the Comfort Inn North, 445 East Alexis, when he was approached by two men, one armed with a gun, who demanded money.

Mr. Brenner said he gave cash to the armed suspect standing in front of him and his wallet to the second suspect standing behind him.

The two men fled in a vehicle with a female inside traveling east from the motel. Mr. Brenner later told police that one of his credit cards was used at an East Toledo convenience store a little after midnight.
