Perrysburg Twp. family escapes blaze in home

10/8/2006

A Perrysburg Township family escaped safely yesterday morning as a fire of undetermined origin damaged their home and a neighboring home.

Mike Losure, his wife, and a teenage daughter were in bed in their home at 10453 White Oak Drive when a neighbor observed flames on the east side of the structure about 7:10 a.m.

The neighbor awakened the family by banging on the door and ringing the doorbell, authorities said.

The fire burned through the roof and heavily damaged the east wall and two upstairs bedrooms.

Heat from the fire melted the siding of an adjacent home on White Oak.

No damage estimate or cause for the fire was immediately available from township fire fighters.
