Firefighter accused of sex with teen

BELLEVUE, Ohio - A Bellevue firefighter has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor for allegedly having sexual relations with a teenage girl, authorities said yesterday.

Sean C. Crosby, 34, of Green Springs, Ohio, who was freed on his own recognizance, is to appear Nov. 14 in Sandusky County Juvenile Court.

Bellevue police asked Fremont detectives to investigate the allegations against Mr. Crosby, Fremont Detective James White said. After interviewing Mr. Crosby, the findings were forwarded to the county prosecutor's office.

Mr. Crosby is the son of Bellevue's safety-service director, Jeff Crosby. Bellevue officials did not return a phone call seeking comment.

The investigation report states the incident, which allegedly took place in a home in Bellevue, was reported Aug. 19. Mr. Crosby was charged Sept. 19, the report said.
