Chicagoan held in Lima's 9th homicide of the year

LIMA, Ohio - A Chicago man has been arrested for the city's ninth homicide of the year and is awaiting extradition from the Chicago area, where he was arrested Thursday evening, Lima police said.

An arrest warrant was issued Thursday afternoon for Ramon D. Jackson, 32, charging him with the murder of Marcus R. Green, 24, police said.

Mr. Green, who originally is from Lima but had been living in Chicago, was found shot in the head about 11:10 p.m. Nov. 26 in front of a residence in the 500 block of East Second Street, police said.

He died Tuesday in St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
