More than 200 marijuana plants were seized from a Toledo home this week when police served a search warrant as part of a drug investigation.

The 218 marijuana plants with a street value of $348,800 upon maturity were seized from 2630 Avondale Ave. when Toledo police's vice-narcotics unit served the warrant at 11 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Also seized were $1,400 worth of crack cocaine, a 357-caliber handgun, $2,366, and drug paraphernalia, police said.

He was released from the Lucas County jail after posting a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Toledo Municipal Court Jan. 16 for a preliminary hearing.

Shamecka M. Harris, 24, also was charged with three misdemeanors as a result of the search - permitting drug abuse, child endangering, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
