GREEN SPRINGS, Ohio Sheriff s deputies from Seneca and Sandusky counties spent most of Thursday evening assisting local police and a tracking dog looking for a man who attempted to rob a gas station owner at gunpoint.
Don Sours, owner of the BP station on Main Street, struggled with the robber when the man demanded the day s receipts from the business shortly after closing at 9 p.m. The gunman ran away without any money, Green Springs Police Chief Charles Horne said.
The would-be robber was described as a white man, about 200 pounds and 5-feet-10 inches, who wore a blue bandana across his face.
