Clues needed about death of Toledo man

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about the death of a city man who was shot in the legs Oct. 6.

Johnnie Worlds, 33, died after being shot once in each leg in an alley in the 1400 block of Fitchland Avenue.

After the shooting, he ran to the 1300 block of Woodruff Avenue and was found outside 1358 West Woodruff, police said.

He was pronounced dead at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center at 9:10 p.m., about 30 minutes after he was found.

A Lucas County deputy coroner said he had gunshot wounds in each thigh.

Anyone with information about the slaying is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
