Man wanted by police, marshals surrenders

A man sought by the U.S. Marshals Service and Toledo police for probation violations and a recent assault surrendered to federal authorities yesterday.

Odell Langston, 30, was taken into custody after he obtained an attorney and met voluntarily with authorities. He was booked into the Lucas County jail on domestic violence and assault charges.

The marshals service was seeking Langston after he began failing all aspects of his probation in October after serving a five-year federal prison sentence for conspiracy with intent to distribute cocaine.

Langston also was wanted by police for an assault last week during which he pushed, held, and choked a pregnant 18-year-old woman, authorities said.
