1/21/2007

A Cherry Street drug store was robbed yesterday of 100 OxyContin pills.

A man entered the Rite Aid at 1525 Cherry at 10:55 a.m. and handed the pharmacy counter clerk a note demanding the drugs.

After receiving six bottles of OxyContin, which is a prescription painkiller used for moderate to high pain relief, the suspect left without speaking. Police listed the value of the pills at $5,000.
