Task force grabs $22,000 in cocaine, nabs man, 30

A Level 3 snow emergency didn t keep one Toledo man from allegedly trying to make a delivery on St. Valentine s Day.

But the alleged attempt landed him in jail.

Michael Black, 30, who had Jean Road and Ellis Avenue addresses, was arrested after authorities seized about $22,000 worth of powder cocaine in East Toledo, police said.

The Toledo Metro Drug Task Force made the seizure about 11:30 a.m. in the 2700 block of Pratt Street.

Police didn t release many details about the case, but said they arrested Mr. Black and charged him with trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine, tampering with evidence, obstructing official business, and resisting arrest.

He was being held in the Lucas County jail without bond pending arraignment today in Toledo Municipal Court.
