A fourteen-year veteran Toledo Police officer was arrested early yesterday along with another man on three drug-related offenses.

Officer Bryan Traband, 35, was charged by members of the Toledo Police vice narcotics bureau at 3:30 a.m. with permitting drug abuse, possession of marijuana, and drug abuse, according to a police news release.

He was booked into the Lucas County jail and released on his own recognizance.

Officer Traband has been with the department since 1993, and police officials would not provide any more details about the ongoing investigation, citing restrictions in the contract with the Toledo Police Patrolmen s Association. He has been suspended without pay, police said.

The other man, Timothy Mosakowski, 59, of 2930 Hartman St., was charged with possession of drugs. Both men were arrested at the officer s home on Mansfield Street in North Toledo. Mr. Mosakowski was being held yesterday at the Lucas County jail pending arraignment tomorrow in Toledo Municipal Court.
