2 additional charges filed in child-rape case

6/13/2007

A 28-year-old man facing rape charges in the sexual assault of a 7-year-old girl was indicted yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury on two additional charges.

Kevin Ware was indicted on charges of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance and pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor. He originally was indicted May 9 on three counts of rape stemming from a police investigation during which the victim told authorities and Lucas County Children Services personnel about the assaults.

The girl told authorities Mr. Ware showed her explicit photos and had sex with his mother, Terry Walker, of 3527 East Manhattan Blvd., while she was present. Ms. Walker, 54, was arraigned May 24 in Lucas County Common Pleas Court on a felony charge of sexual battery for having a sexual relationship with her son, prohibited by Ohio law.
