Abandoned toddler found in East Toledo home

A 2-year-old girl was found abandoned inside an apartment at 404 Oak St. in Toledo this morning, police said.

Toledo police Sgt. Richard Murphy said the child was located about 11 a.m. inside a home that was filthy, and with no furniture or beds. The toddler appeared to be in good health and was turned over to Lucas County Children Services.

A man was taken into custody for questioning in connection with the incident.
