PORT CLINTON Ottawa County law enforcement agencies will set up a checkpoint Saturday to detect drivers who are operating a vehicle while impaired.

Law enforcement officers will come from agencies throughout the county and, in addition to checking for drivers under the influence of alcohol, will strictly enforce state seat-belt laws, Capt. Stephen Levorchick of the Ottawa County sheriff s office said.

The exact location and time of the checkpoint will not be announced until Saturday morning.
