NAPOLEON A 42-year-old Texas, Ohio, man fired shots yesterday at two properties in the city before police arrested him, police said, adding that there were no injuries.

Jeffery S. Mullen was charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count each of felonious assault and aggravated burglary. He is being held in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, Stryker, Ohio, pending arraignment tomorrow in Napoleon Municipal Court.

About 6:15 p.m., Mr. Mullen allegedly fired a handgun several times at the front door of a home in the 700 block of West Main Street, forced his way in, threatened occupants with a gun, and left.

At that point, police arrived and tried to stop Mr. Mullen. He refused to obey officers orders, went to a family member s home on the same block, went in, and fired another shot before coming out to the street, police said.

Officers fired a bean-bag round at Mr. Mullen before restraining and handcuffing him. He was later treated at Toledo Hospital, police said. Officers recovered a handgun from the second shooting.
