Transformer fire causes south Toledo power outages

A traffic light is out at Airport Highway and South Detroit Avenue in south Toledo and several city blocks in the vicinity are without power after a transformer at South Detroit and South Fearing Boulevard caught fire just before 6 this morning.

The outage is expected to continue at least until 8 a.m., authorities said.
