A South Toledo man accused of shooting another man in the knees last month was indicted yesterday by a Lucas County grand jury.

Shaun Mancini, 29, of 4126 South Detroit Ave. was charged with felonious assault with a firearm specification. He was being held in the Lucas County jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond set in Toledo Municipal Court.

He was charged with shooting Torrion Clark, 29, of Toledo, who on Sept. 29 was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, formerly Medical College of Ohio Hospital, with shotgun wounds to his knees, police said.

Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress at the Mancini residence about 7 p.m. A short time later, police found the wounded Mr. Clark at South Detroit and Copland Boulevard.

Mr. Mancini is accused of shooting Mr. Clark after Mr. Mancini chased Mr. Clark with a shotgun from the Mancini residence after an altercation, police said.

Michael Mancini, of the same address, was not indicted in the matter. He had faced a charge of complicity in the commission of felonious assault.
