Several people were left homeless when a fire apparently of electric origin damaged a South Toledo apartment complex early Wednesday, authorities said.
No injuries were reported.
The fire at Oak Hill Apartments in the 2400 block of South Holland-Sylvania Road was initially reported at 12:58 a.m.
At 1:22 a.m., the fire was upgraded to a second alarm, meaning additional fire crews and engines were dispatched. Firefighters had the fire under control by 1:36 a.m., a Toledo fire dispatcher said.
The fire damaged several apartments. The exact cause of the fire and a damage estimate were not available Wednesday morning.
