Charge is dismissed against ex-NFL player

11/6/2007

The felonious assault charge against former NFL player JoJuan Armour, who was accused of stabbing another man in January, was dismissed yesterday in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Assistant County Prosecutor Jevne Meader said evidentiary issues led to the decision to dismiss the case.

He said the investigation of the incident is ongoing.

Mr. Armour, 31, was charged after the stabbing of Timothy Hightower early Jan. 6 in the 200 block of North Huron Street.

Attorney Myron Duhart, who is representing Mr. Armour, could not be reached for comment yesterday.
