A family of seven was left homeless when a fire of an undetermined origin that started late Sunday damaged their house at Ashcroft Drive and Wildhurst Lane in Oregon, authorities said.

There were no injuries, an Oregon fire dispatcher said.

No one was home when the fire at the single-story wood frame house at 1950 Ashcroft Dr. was reported at 11:37 p.m., the dispatcher said.

Oregon fire crews extinguished the fire by 2 a.m. Monday, she said. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimate was available early Monday.

The Lucas County Auditor s Web site lists the owner of the house as Murl B. Klink.
