A Maumee man involved in an Aug. 31 crash on the Ohio Turnpike that killed a suburban Chicago couple will not face charges.

A Lucas County grand jury did not indict Charles Marlowe, Jr., 66, on charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and vehicular homicide. The crash killed Thomas Lee, 63, and his wife, Therese, 61, of Merrionette Park. Mr. Marlowe was hurt.

The crash occurred about 7 p.m. on the turnpike between Albon and Crissey roads. Mr. Marlowe was westbound when he went off the road, hit a guardrail, crossed over both lanes and the median, and hit the couple s vehicle, which was eastbound, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.
