LIMA, Ohio - A man wanted on a robbery charge in Milwaukee was arrested in Lima yesterday despite making multiple attempts to escape local authorities.

Naqualon Gibson, 19, is being held in the Allen County jail on the Wisconsin robbery charge and on multiple charges filed by Lima police after the complicated arrest, including resisting arrest, felonious assault, assaulting a police officer, drug possession, tampering with evidence, and obstructing official business.

Lima police received a tip yesterday that Mr. Gibson, who was believed to have been one of America's Most Wanted, was at a private residence on Catalpa Avenue near South Sugar Street. Mr. Gibson is not listed on the America's Most Wanted Web site.

When Lima police went to the home about 5:50 p.m. to arrest Mr. Gibson on the Milwaukee charge, he fled and a K-9 unit on the scene was used to track him down.

The dog tracked down the man and bit him, and then the man attempted to flee again. Police used a Taser to subdue him.

He was taken to St. Rita's Mercy Medical Center for treatment of a dog bite to his lower right back. While there he attempted to flee again, injuring a hospital security guard in the process, police said.
