Woman's vehicle stolen at gunpoint on Broadway

A woman who is five months pregnant is "OK, but very rattled," after her vehicle was stolen at gunpoint about noon yesterday at the Aurora Gonzalez Community Center, 1949 Broadway, said Michele Toth, the center's chief executive officer.

The victim, whose name was being withheld by the agency, is a center employee.

She was talking on her cell phone in her vehicle when she was approached by a man who held a gun to her head before stealing her vehicle. Ms. Toth said several other employees were witnesses and are working with police to identify a suspect.

"It was a pretty bad situation," Ms. Toth said. "I'm concerned for my people."

Police last night had no information about the incident.
