Fire caused damage of more than $100,000 to Myers Hearth & Casual, 808 North Reynolds Rd., last night, authorities said.

The fire was reported about 5:23 p.m., and crews were still on the scene at 10 last night.

Authorities believe no one was inside the store when the fire started. Within 10 minutes of arriving on the scene, firefighters opened the roof as crews struggled to reach the source of the fire.

The cause was under investigation last night.

Battalion Chief Dennis Facer said the fire caused about $120,000 damage to the building and contents.

The family-owned store, south of Dorr Street, has been in business for more than 50 years and sells fireplaces, grills, and furniture.

One firefighter was treated for dehydration at the scene.
